Ripe Portland Concert reviews
Star Wars In Concert
The live performance was fantastic! The main hallway that circles around the Scott Trade Center is, unfortunately, too small for such events. There was little room to maneuver with exhibits, fans, and vendors crowding the space. It was difficult to take pictures due to the lack of space.
We made our way to our seats in section 107, which were in the second row from the very top near the ceiling. Our view was obstructed by a suspended stage speaker in the middle of the screen, which was disappointing. However, we were relieved to be away from the crowded hallway and ready to sit down. To our surprise, a friendly usher approached us and asked to see our tickets. Despite being in the correct seats, the usher informed us that we were getting a free seat upgrade, courtesy of the show's producer. We were moved closer to the stage in better seats, making it feel like an early Christmas gift.
We left somewhat disappointed by the lack of exhibits, particularly the absence of space ship models. It was also disappointing that vendors did not have Yoda tee-shirts in kids' sizes. Additionally, the lobby near the garage at the Scott Trade Center was smaller than expected, leading to a 21-minute wait in the freezing cold before the gates opened.
Overall, we had a great time and would be willing to pay to attend again.
